Creative Tuesday: Springtime


I know spring has begun when I see crocus and daffodils popping up all around, but I must say that my favorite part of spring, aside from rising temperatures of course, are the PINK TREES!!!! Blossoming cherry trees are just gorgeous in the springtime- and they're so fluffy!!! Love them. One day, I will have one in my yard. Today's Creative Tuesday piece is just a quick oil pastel drawing I did of my spring faves.


Thinking about this post also made me realize that I never posted a pic of the cute spring/Easter cupcakes I made last year! I figure that now is as good a time as any, sooooo... 


This is the most adorable desert I've ever constructed! They make me smile.

    Your drawing is very sweet too. I like the bright pink color and the daffodils. Oh just love daffodils in the spring! I had a cherry tree at my old house, and it bloomed right outside my window...i miss it!

  3. Very springy for sure. I love the cherry blossoms as well and every year I visit the japanese Cherry blossoms in D.C. :-)

  9. Hello Dara. What a beautiful blog. A very nice creation for CT and the cupcakes are previous. I used to be a radiology tech. about 100 years ago. No just about 50 really then went to college and became a nurse. Man have things changed in radiology and everything else, of course. Congrats on your new job and hope you do well. Blessings

  12. Oh I miss the cherry trees! I used to live in D.C. and there were two gorgeous cherry trees that covered the back patio with pink petals.

    Also, I'm all about cooking with Peeps. you rock!
