It's February, and I'm starting something new! I'm going to join in with "Creative Tuesdays" on a blog I follow. I found this blog when it received a blog-of-note a month or two ago. You just post your personal artwork, and link to his page to share. This Creative Tuesday's theme was Valentines. I actually did two... and couldn't decide which I liked best, so I'm putting them both up! *Note: I am by no means a professional artist, or even a good one. I'm just doing it because it's fun.
"Daisy Love Me?"
"Through It All, Together"
Another thing I'm going to do is countdown to Valentines Day by sharing a verse or passage of scripture on love each day. So, you'll be hearing from me a lot for the next couple of weeks!
Today's verse is very famous: the greatest display of love that exists.
For God so loVed
the world thAt
he gave his onLy
begottEn
soN
thaT whosoever
believeth In
him should Not
pErish
but have everlaSting life.
~John 3:16
In other news: my foot appointment went fine this morning! Looks like everything is staying in place and healing as it should. I go back in another 3 weeks, but until then, I get to continue wearing my lovely boot.
You draw hands very well for supposedly not being an artist. Sweet drawings!
ReplyDeleteSo glad to meet you through Creative Tuesdays! Yes, I agree with Missy you do draw hands very well!
ReplyDeleteLove your "Through it all together" sweet sentiments for a thoughtful drawing. xo
Thanks yall!
ReplyDeleteWelcome aboard!! Oh, I couldn't choose between those either. Very nice work and emotions expressed there!
ReplyDeleteWelcome to C.T. :) It's fun isn't it? I especially like getting all the comments - like Christmas come early! I love your 'loves me not' idea.
ReplyDeleteWelcome to CT! I'm pretty new to it myself. The Valentine submission is my third. Your two pieces are great. Is the second one a portrait of you and your hubby?
ReplyDeleteI can tell you love Valentine's and those are both beautiful sketches. Welcome to Creative Tuesdays!
ReplyDeleteThey are both lovely! I really like the daisy and the "view" is wonderfully sentimental.
ReplyDeleteVery nice drawings! I can certainly see why you had trouble choosing between them.
ReplyDeleteWelcome Dara to CT. I have been with it way over a year. It is fun. Great work there. I love the blog colors. Blessings

Dara, welcome to CREATIVE TUESDAYS!!! :) So love it when our little co-op gets to meet someone new. Wow, you were creative here. love your interpretations--especially the top one of the daisy. how sweet. Also, never seen VALENTINES" written out in that verse before. so clever. :)
ReplyDeleteAnyway, you know, just so you know, in case you have not read the guidelines, you do not at all need to be good at drawing (you are thought) as it is all about just taking time being creative and thinking about the theme and how you would depict it. The execution isn't as important as the chance to be creative and use the right side of one's brain. Anyway, you've done a brill job here I think. It will look great in the montage I will post tomorrow.
Welcome to Creative Tuesdays...love the "loves me, loves me not" am so jealous...you can draw hands...I'm rubbish at hands...i just do blobs... glad you've joined us...
ReplyDeleteA very warm well to CT. I just love the daisy picture, brought back some memories, lol
ReplyDeleteThese are both beautiful drawings! I love the simplicity of them!
ReplyDeleteThanks for all the sweet comments! I'm excited to be part of the group, and it's great getting to hear from everyone. The 2nd drawing is of me and my hubby :-) I learned to draw hands from my high school art teacher... her best advice to me on that was to draw what you see, not what you think!
